First of all, great video guys, I am really stoked to see this kind of stuff on the site. It's amazing to see all of the fantastic and creative work here on clarkbartram.com. I hope you keep more of it coming!
Now on to the movie.
I don't think there has ever been a better batman movie ever made (except Batman Dead End of course) and I would put it on equal footing with Batman Begins, which I also consider to be one of my most favorite movies of all time.
Yes I know Batman's voice is kind of annoying, but since he is always running into people he knows in his Bruce Wayne life, he needs it to be as obscured as possible without giving away his identity. It might have just been an attempt by the movie producers to build in some realism into the movie (i.e. “how would batman sound if it was really just a man trying to change his voice”) I didn't like it, but I let it pass based on that.
I agree, the cowl was kind of lame. But I also let that pass because this series is more about the evolution of Batman and part of the interesting thing of all the movies is seeing how the suit evolves. Also, I appreciate that since this is a Dark Knight story, it hearkens back to the original Dark Knight series from the late 80s. In that Dark Knight series, he wore a strength enhancing suit and used all kinds of technology to enhance his abilities. In fact, the strength enhancing exoskeleton was a big part of the Superman vs. Batman fight in The Dark Knight Falls. But you're right, the cowl looked really lame. I didn't like the roundness of it either. IMO, the cowl should always have straight sides.
Yeah I agree Maggie Gylenhall might not be the best choice for a Rachel but I didn't think that Katie Holmes was a good choice either. You guys are right that you need someone that isn't some A-list super celebrity (since it's unlikely that the average batman fan isn't going to identify with them). And frankly Maggie Gylenhall is just not the kind of person you would imagine going head to head with Gotham's seedy underbelly of crime. I think you need someone with Nicole Kidman's acting demeanor and and someone with low key looks.
Now as for the Joker, I mean c'mon!!! I am going to have to watch that movie like at least 10 more times just to see all the nuances Heath Ledger brought to that character. Unbelievable. It was a haunting performance to say the least. I actually found it a bit disturbing given the fact that he passed away shortly afterwards... was the character too much for him to handle perhaps? Did he go too far? Did he get TOO into it? Anyhow, I guess it's better if you don't dwell on it too much.
As for TwoFace, I totally agree.... lame! I found myself not even wanting to look at the screen when he showed his face. The acting couldn't be beat, and the whole character's demeanor was dead on, but it was just kind of lame how his face was all eaten away. A bit too gruesome. Hopefully they'll tone it down a bit on the next movie.
And the only real annoying part I found with the movie was how they seemed to have to explain every nuance of the batman and joker characters throughout the movie. Leave something to the imagination people!
Then we agree! Cool, and your obviously a big fan, and thanks for the props on Dead End. be sure to look for more Mitch & Clark review show, I think we'll take a look at Hancock next. We'll have to start getting to the flicks sooner so these are a little more timely.

I agree the part when joker was getting into Batman's head telling him he was like him ! Also The ebst scene as far as I'm concerned was when he flips the whole truck while going underneath with his Bike ..that was sick ! Hey clark Did you know I 'm a comic addict too , I collect Original comic art work , check out what I own so far http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=3370
Check the batman Piece I just had some Upcoming new talent do for me ! Enjoy !
Nice collection! It's funny how many bodybuilders started with the whole comic or fantasy world. The physiques of Super Heros has an impact on the young mind. We should have a MFT member do the MFT comic book and create a crew that saves the world from childhood obesity or something. Juliene could have martial arts skills that are out of this world, you could stare at people like in your blog photo and burn fat off of them, I could...I don't know, we'll need to figure that one out. Anyway, just havin fun.
