I grew up playing most conventional sports. My father was a pro-football player, owned gyms, and coached – he set a flawless health and fitness example his entire life, and inspired everyone who knew him. Started modeling with RoadRunner Sports in San Diego, then Men’s Health mag in NYC discovered me shortly after.
Health and fitness keeps me healthy and is a creative, artistic outlet for me. I also get to meet new and exciting people. Exercise keeps me young at heart, and fit enough to play with my daughter and coach her. I also see sculpting my body as a science too, and not so much vanity – getting your physique dialed and super fit is a precise and challenging process!
By channeling into sports I love such as surfing, skateboarding, beach volleyball, snow-skiing. This engages the mind and triggers many rewarding and pleasurable neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin. Exercise balances hormones, helps me sleep better, and restores my physiology to performing at its optimum. And I can eat more! I also get great motivation from blogging, inspiring, and coaching others.
