Undergraduate Applied Exercise Science Student at Springfield College, MA.
I am an active person who tries to live my college motto to the fullest, balancing the spirit, mind, and body to create the whole person. I feel that combining health and wellness with my faith and strong morals allows me to enjoy a good quality of life and keeps me positive in my daily endeavors. Though I am far from fully mastering these concepts, I know that the more I try, the more opportunities I will give myself to succeed as I gain valuable experiences all along the way.
As a kid, my mom took every measure to ensure that my sisters and I lived active, healthy lives as she home schooled us for a number of years, made home-cooked health-conscious meals everyday, and always kept us moving. My dad then got all three of his girls involved in as many sports as we could handle and being active became even more fun. All those years combined with the encouragements of my parents worked together to create the burning passion I have now for leading a healthy, active lifestyle.
It's who I am. I thrive outdoors, whether I'm surfing, hiking, running, swimming, or biking because God gave me a love of sunshine and arms and legs to make the most of it. Few things make me happier than spending a day at the beach with my bike, running shoes, and surfboard.
I look out my window. When I'm in San Diego, everyday seems to be the perfect day to play outside and I know I'll feel better for doing it. When I'm living in snowy New England during the school year, I set a goal to run in some endurance race or compete in a triathlon during the spring and the weather reminds me of just how close I'm getting to race day. My goal makes me want to take advantage of the gym and keep moving on a regular basis, rather than sitting inside and being depressed by the cold weather.

Band Walks, core stability on slide disks, most anything that sounds a little crazy but safe and effective.
That's a work in progress...
