Let's get it going!

I haven't been on here in a while. Health issues out of nowhere took me down for some time. We used to regularly hit this site with our current exercise routines and tips to keep us all going. I now have alot of work ahead of me. I have about 40 pounds to drop. So I dropped by to get a little inspiration from Clark and the crew! I was giving the P90X dvds as a gift. Has anyone here tried it?

Hey All!

If there are some on clark's site here who haven't picked up a copy of his film Hunter Prey, it is being rotated on showtime now. It is a good sci fi movie. Good work, Clark! Almost didn't recognize you with the long hair and the beard.

Props to Clark!!

During business today, I was in the home office of an executive producer that has been in the movie business since the 50's. He produced the Batman movies that starred Keaton, Kilmer, and Clooney. His office only had a few items on the wall. One being the bat logo with the opening weekend gross of the original film. Right below it, a framed set of 4 black and white photos of Clark as Batman complete with an autograph. Very cool Clark!!! He said he received it as a gift from someone.

I'm 38 and have been training since I was 14. I've done most of the routines with my favorite being one body part a day. People always said I looked good but I feel I never really hit my full potential. I have been reading up recently on old school training especially on how this bodybuilder Reg Park trained in the 50's. He worked out only 3 times a week using compound exercises, natural, and won Mr universe contests. This is one routine I have never tried. I'm looking to see if I can put some mass on and I read the guys back then put serious size on with this kind of training.

Congrads Clark

Congrads Clark on your recent cover shot and article in Iron Man. Way to keep going strong!! I still owe you for bringing up sprints back in June. Since then I have gotten into great shape quite quickly and am feeling great. Before sprints I hated cardio!!!!

Scratch Slowing Down!!

tshaw's picture

I decided to try this workout for a while- 6 days a week of sprinting for a total of 1000 meters a day along with a training split of chest on Monday, and Friday, Back on Tuesday and Saturday, shoulders on Wednesday, and arms on Thursday. An ab exercise will be done everyday. Thay should be just enough and not enough to overtrain.

I Need to Slow it down a Notch

I admit I became a huge fan of doing sprints since Clark's post at the beginning of June. Where before I started sprints, I would do the bike, or jog for twenty minutes every other day. I hated doing cardio, it was so boring. So sprinting made it into a challenge and fun. But I started doing them everyday, lots of them. Granted I started leaning up quite quickly, but I also noticed muscle tone was dropping as well. But I loved getting up early and doing them every morning. On lifting days, I would run afterwards.

Started The Week with a Bang !!

After taking a much needed day off from any kind of training yesterday, I was up at 4 AM and banged out an intense back and chest workout without a break and only 10 seconds of rest in between sets for about a have hour (which included 200 crunches, 100 oblique crunches, and 100 leg lifts at the end of the workout.) Then it was off to the track where I started with 6 all out 100 meter sprints coming in at an average of 10-11 seconds for each one. Then I did 5 -200 meter sprints averaging 21-22 seconds.

Trackin'

I've become pretty addicted to doing sprints since the beginning of June. I guess there could be worse things to become addicted to. I decided to set on doing them six mornings a week in a cycle of 10- 100m sprints on Monday, 5- 200m on Tuesday, 3- 400m on Wednesday, then back to the 100s on Thursday. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday will be split upper body workouts. I like getting up as daylight breaks, and being the only one on the track. It's a great way to start the day.

Hey Clark, I dont have a garage. I saw you use those straps in your vids. Dont you need a beam to hang them on? I went down to the track late this afternoon, and banged out 8 100m sprints. I'm going to get a tee shirt with "Be like Clark" on it : ) With all the cardio I do, you still kick my butt with the amount you do.
