Mr. Olympia Weekend

So I'm in Las Vegas right now for Mr. Olympia. Already have spent a lot of time with a bunch of great fitness and health people. It's very inspiring to be around people who talk about and want to live fitness even more than I do. It's really nice cause aside from my girlfriend, most of the people I see on a daily basis have no concern for their health and fitness. Tomorrow I'll be hanging out, going to the O, and checking out a photo shoot. I'm going to try to bring back lots of stories, try to keep a daily blog, and record some videos.

Impromptu Vacation Workouts

So, still on vacation but still frequenting clarkbartram.com. I've been trying to do impromptu workouts at least every other day. When at home, I'll usually do different body parts on different days so that each group can get overworked and then have time to recover properly.

The workouts I've been doing here have been basic full body workouts. My typical workout will start out with a .5 mile jog to a park. Then a couple supersets of Chin Ups and Push Ups, then Lunges and squats, then parallel dips, and finally some hanging crunches. Finally, a .5 mile back to where I'm staying.

Staying Fit on Vacation

I'm leaving on a plane to Canada in about 7 hours. I'll be going with my girlfriend to visit her family there. I'm pretty excited because I've never visited that country and it'll be nice to take some partial time off (I'll actually be working part-time while I'm there).

However, I don't want to slip out of my fitness routine while I'm "kicking back". I don't anticipate sneaking out at dinner to hit up a gym, but I think I'll try to incorporate some body weight exercises and jogging on my normal gym days.
