How is it JULY already?! I don't know about you, but time is FLYING! I cannot believe we are already half way through 2010! Seems like it was just yesterday that I sat down and wrote out a very long list of goals that I wanted to accomplish this year. Hopefully, you did the same thing. Goal Setting is the key to success. Truly. Without measurable goals, there is no way to accurately track progress and make sure you are continually moving in the right direction.
Looking back on the goals you set for yourself in January, how do you measure up? What has your work ethic been like these past few months? Have you exceeded those goals and its time to set some new ones? Or are you still working toward them? Maybe you completely forgot about them after a month or two. Unfortunately, that last option is the norm. Many people get very excited to set goals, stay on top of them for a month, then forget all about them. Thats why I am writing this post. To give you a reality check. We are halfway through 2010, and time is flying. If you have put off your goals you set in January, NOW is the time to get back on them! Don't think it's too late. You have the next six months to make some huge changes in your life, and you CAN do it! My life has drastically changed in the past 6 months, and I cannot wait to see what the next six bring. I challenge you to recap the goals you set and write out the steps you need to take if you are not there yet. I am going to share my goals I set, what I have accomplished, and what I am still working towards in the rest of 2010.
When I think back to me sitting down and writing out my goals in January, I literally have tears in my eyes. In January I sat down with a long list. If some were to have seen my list of goals, they probably would have told me there way NO WAY I could accomplish it in a year, let alone six months. I was determined, focused, and ready to work my ass off to make things happen. Thinking about everything that has happened since that day I wrote out my goals, I truly feel blessed.
MY Goals for 2010 ( in no particular order)
1. Graduate School **
2. Move to LA**
3. Receive a Sponsorship from a Supplement Company**
4. Find LA based Representation **
5. Get Published as a fitness model Nationally**
6. Get Published as a fitness model Internationally **
7. Have My own Column in a National Magazine**
8. Have My own Column In an International Magazine**
9. Turn The EZ Whey into a Business- The EZ Whey LLC**
10. Land a Book Publishing Deal for The EZ Whey
11. Be on TV doing a cooking / fitness segment **
12. Get on a Cover of a Magazine
13. Receive a Paid Endorsement for a Product
14. Sign with a National Agency
15. Write as many articles / be featured as much I can for various websites**
16. Network Network Network **
17. Stay Persistent**
18. Never Give Up when people say no **
19. Prove them wrong if I am told no **
20. Never be out worked or out hustled by anyone. Period. **
That list above is a direct copy and paste from a word document I have titled "20 goals for 2010" As I read over it now, I am thinking, " its about time I set some new goals for the second half ot the year!" I am truly so thankful that I have accomplished almost every single one of those goals in 6 months let alone a year. The ones that I have accomplished have a ** next to them. The others I am still working on. But you know what?! I WILL be 20 for 20 by the time 2010 comes to a close. Its all mental. This is a battle between you and your mind. How bad do you want to reach your goals? What are you willing to sacrifice in order to get there? How often will you connect with decision makers, stay in touch, stay persistent, and not take no for an answer? Your future is up to you, goal setting is just one way to get there.
