Fresh Out of College, Full of Knowledge, and Ready to HUSTLE

Those lyrics have been blasting in my headphones these past few weeks as I had been preparing for the big move to Los Angeles. The excitement of having the world in front of me with nothing holding me back is something that I still cannot get over.

I officially made it to LA. A few months ago this was all a dream. But it was a dream that I decided I was going to make happen- and when I decide I am going to make something happen, I make it happen. Many of my friends I graduated with and other individuals in Scottsdale have been saying " I can't believe you are actually moving to LA and doing this! "
I simply reply that I told them a few months ago I was going to move as soon as I graduated. When they tell me they thought I was just saying that, I smile. I pride myself on sticking to my word. If I say I am going to do something, I am going to do it. I am not one to just "talk".

Now that I am here, everyone is telling me the first year in LA is always hard. Its always a struggle, its always a grind, a hustle, etc etc. I am determined to prove them wrong. I will be successful my first year in LA. I am not scared of this city, and nobody is going to tell me I can't do what I have set out to do my first year out of college. Yes, I know I am only 22 years old going up against people in this industry with over 20 years of experience etc etc. But that is what I love. i LOVE a CHALLENGE. When I am turned down or pushed away from an opportunity, that is what motivates me to work even harder and raise the bar. So I am ready to be told no. I am ready to prove people wrong. There is nothing I love more. If everything came easy, success wouldn't mean anything. I know it is going to take hard work, hustle, determination, tenacity, persistence, motivation, drive, etc etc I could go on forever. But those are all qualities I pride myself on. I am going to enjoy the process. Nothing is going to come easy. I know i will struggle at times and have to find ways to come back stronger, better, more creative etc. But I am ready. Everyone says at only 22 years old I am taking a risk jumping in to such a big city where I will be too trusting etc. I have a completely opposite perspective.

Now is the perfect time for me in life to take a risk. What do I have to lose? I am 22 years old, fresh out of college, full of knowledge, and ready to hustle. I don't own a house, don't have a family, and have no other commitments holding me back. Now is the perfect time to take a chance, put myself out there, and show this big bad city of Los Angeles what I am made of.
