I’ve been very fortunate in my 15 months in the fitness industry to have attained success quicker than almost anybody that has laid foot in this industry. I really attribute that to so many good people that have helped me along the way. I always felt that success is never attained alone.
Because I’ve had so many good people help me along the way and because of the giving person I am I’ve made it a pact to myself to help as many people as I can succeed in the fitness industry. There is so much work for everybody that it doesn’t make sense to not help someone or share some of your contacts to help someone succeed as well. The industry is so small and you never know if that same person you thought to yourself about helping will be in a position to give you a fitness job.
Lord knows it has happened to me so many times. I have been very blessed in my very short fitness career to use my contacts in the industry to have helped models and photographers get covers, features, supplement ad campaigns, etc. I honestly believe part of my success has come from helping out so many people in the industry and in many ways I believe it has come right back to me.
I’ve used a quote that I truly wholeheartedly believe that you can have money in the bank, great intelligence and wisdom, great success through your wildest dreams but if you don’t have the ability to share it or help somebody with that then it means absolutely nothing. The art of giving is about unconditionally helping someone out without ever asking for anything return.
The feeling that I’ve gotten out of helping someone succeed in the fitness industry is priceless and I will continue to do that because I believe it truly is the right thing to do especially if the person has the marketability, drive and look to succeed. I promise you if you think that way it will come back to you times 3.
