Indoor Rock Climbing..

I walk by a rock climbing wall inside of Dick's Sporting Goods all the time, on my way to the golf shop to practice hitting being it is cold outside right now. But anyway, I keep looking up at it day in and day out, wondering to myself when I am going to attack it. I watch these little kids climb right up and hit that buzzer that is at the top (47foot). Each and every time an adult tries it, they usually give up at 1/2 to 3/4 the way up.

I finally gave it a go today. Sad as I must say, I failed on the first attempt. I would have died if that harness and rope were not attached. I made it up 3/4 the way up and my forearms began to throb. Even know what to do, I still failed. I knew to use my legs, keep my hips as close to the wall as possible. But when you are actually doing it, your mind play tricks on you and you think you can just pull yourself up. NOT!!!

If you get a chance to try one of these walls go for it. I just bought a new camcorder, so next time I will record my attempt, or should I say my success.
