Obi places last place in the FAME North American Championships

From runner up in the FAME World championships in June of this year which was their biggest event every two years to last place at North American Championships in the Pro-Fitness model division on Saturday night......I definitely pissed somebody off. More than one guy in the audience said the contest was fixed. I now know 110% I was made an example of today... To give you an explanation of what happened Here It is: I gave my consolation to Paul Dillett the president of the WBFF on his facebook wall after FAME stole Paul Dillett's WBFF domain name to create more traffic to their own site over a week ago.

I then got an email the following day from the FAME co-president Mindy Blackstiein that there are rumors that I publicly denounced FAME. I explained to her in a respectful way that I thought it was unethical stealing the WBFF domain's name and that Paul Dillett was my friend. I copied and pasted what I put on his wall when I responded to her and said this is what I said verbatim. I told her this isn't denouncing FAME I just said the act of what happened to Paul and the WBFF was unethical and not necessary. I told her that FAME didn't have to do that.

To all my friends and supporters who have supported me this year ..I say Thank You from the bottom of heart I appreciate all the love and support. This situation doesn't get down me at all...every knows what happened that the male Pro- Fitness model category contest was fixed.....period. More than one person in the audience said it was fixed in regards to what happened to me.and I guess being honest about what happened to Paul Dillett and WBFF and sympathesizing with him on his public facebook wall in regards to the WBFF situation got me in trouble and therefore I was made an example of today by placing me last place.

I came in the same exact shape that I came in at the WBFF in September. This is an incredible learning lesson to me and it has showed me that I will never do a FAME show again ever. Modestly speaking there is no way on God's green earth that I can ever place last place in any fitness modeling competition. I feel proud of being honest about what I said in regards to the WBFF and I have no regrets about my comments and I would do it all over again.

I am a little pissed that I spent all the money I did to fly out and compete and was treated like this....absolutely unbelievable!! I flat out got screwed and everybody in the building saw it and knows it!! Be careful what you say about FAME publicly or you will face the consequences as I faced this evening. I was incredibly embarassed. I really couldn't believe that an organization could do this to an athlete. I just wanted to share this with everybody what happened to me. I am pretty much speechless!

I AGREE...

completely that YOU SHOULD HAVE PLACED HIGHER!!!! I was there all weekend helping a friend out. We thought you looked phenomenal. Excellent conditioning and posing; what is expected of any physique champion. No way you deserved that placing. We were totally shocked by it!

I understand now. Unfortunately, these things happen constantly in ANY organization. It is a sad realization, that oftentimes, our future as competitors, rely in the hands of the organizers or judges of the shows.

To all future competitors out there --- POLITICS is the name of the game. You gotta know how to play it, lest suffer the consequences!

Obi, I truly hope that this doesn't derail your goals or aspirations about competing/modeling again. You are a true champ and don't let anybody tell you otherwise!

Thanks bro!

Thanks for taking the time to say these things my man it reallys means a lot to me. FAME's ship is sinking bro and they know it bro. The WBFF is frankly putting them ouf business. All the top fitness models in the game are stepping up to my man Paul Dillett's organization. They are the next FAME but in a good/postive way. Next year they plan to have a pro-division so they are really doing big things in North America. In fact the organization is repsonsible for my next cover coming out in December. What FAME did to me my man was truly a blessing. Everything was telling me not to compete in that show but I really wanted to compete and not listen to people that were telling me not to do it. So what they did to me was really a good thing because I saw the light of the organization. Thanks again for taking the time to say those things.
