Paying the Price

Well, I’m still paying the price for yesterday’s choices. I got up this morning and hit the gym…good for me! But I still felt bloated beyond belief. Man! Food is EVERYTHING in this weight loss battle! I can’t emphasize that enough. For years I’ve thought exercise was the main component but I finally get it!!! With out the right foods in my body I WILL NOT look or feel better. I was pigged out yesterday so I asked myself what am I doing different or NOT doing? What is causing me to steer off course? And the answer came immediately -- HUGE POT of VEGGIES! I haven’t been eating my veggies for the last few days. I normally make a HUGE pot of non-starchy vegetables (carrots, celery, green beans, zucchini, diced tomatoes, garlic, and onions) that will last me most of the week. I’ll typically eat a bowl with lunch and dinner or in between meals as a snack. I also give some to my girls with their meals. It’s been so-o-o easy to get my veggies in and the girls get theirs with this technique. But I got lazy and didn’t make my pot on Monday and I realized I that having this pot really makes a difference. So this morning after the gym I hit the grocery store, got my veggies and their on the stove as we speak. Ok, lets see how I feel tomorrow after eating all my veggies today? Fiber…it’s all about fiber!

damn right ..its all about fibers lady ..just get the hang of it and make it a habit and you should be fine ! Embrassing good habit is a great thing , but its not easy . The best way to do it is to make whatever you do a ritual but make sure you PLAN AHEAD ..Like buying your grocery , you ready now !

I don't usually get all my veggies in each day either. You are right though, food is a huge part in the weight loss process along with working out. That is great that your girls are getting in the habit too! Maybe I'll see you at the gym sometime but I doubt it cause I think you go REALLY early! hahahah
